Good luck with your new job Luca. I'm in the same situation, the need for sustainability it's driving me to find a job. I will try with Upwork this month, if it doesn't work as expected, I'll go with 9-5 next month

That's a great way to look at it, David.

Freelancing will give you the flexibility that a normal 9-5 doesn't allow.

Good luck!

Going from a lot of constraints to none is a very daunting thing. When you have so much time and no constraints, it's so easy to squander around your time. I've felt it heavily this past year. Having a structure and enforcing it can be quite useful here.

And I'm curious. Did you entertain freelancing or consulting eventually? In any case, good luck with the new job!

I agree with you Kenny. I gave a structure to my days to avoid that issue.

I didn't consider freelancing and consulting, I know it would give me some flexibility, but also the stress to find new collaborations and good projects, definitely and extra burden I wanted to avoid.

It definitely comes with a learning curve and extra effort! Best of luck with the new job and next time you’ll try this adventure again you’ll be well equipped for success. Cheers :)
